GPA: Off the pitch, JoJo demonstrates the same unwavering dedication to her academics. Attending one of the nation’s top 10 private schools, she earned an impressive unweighted 3.96 GPA during her sophomore year—a testament to her adaptability and commitment. Her freshman year served as a strong foundation as she transitioned from public school. This year she is excelling in multiple AP courses while balancing her commitments to club and varsity soccer and her USVI Women’s National team duties, multiple honor societies, and community leadership. Current courses include AP European History, AP Macroeconomics & AP Microeconomics, AP English Language, Precalculus, and Physics.

AP History Score in Sophomore Year: 5

School Distinction: Ransom Everglades was named one of the world’s top schools in 2024, recognized by two respected educational indexes. It is the only school in Florida and the Southeast U.S. to rank in the top 10 private schools in North America and within the top 100 globally, as per the Spear's 2024 School Index. Carfax Education’s School Index also places RE in the top 20 in North America and the top 150 worldwide.

SAT/ACT Scores: [Upcoming Test], to reflect strong capabilities in both quantitative and critical reasoning.

Leadership Roles: Dedicated volunteer at the Belafonte TALCOLCY Center in Liberty City, Florida where she teaches entrepreneurship to bright youth in an underserved community, combining her drive for service with practicality, teamwork, resilience, and leadership.  Active member of the Black Student Union and a mentor with the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society.

Community Engagement: While honored to be featured in a FIFA World Cup campaign promoting sports for young girls in her community, JoJo’s most meaningful moment came after a heartbreaking loss to an opposing high school team in the Regionals, where JoJo was guilt-ridden from missing the final free kick. The guilt quickly faded, however, when she learned that many players on the winning team were from underserved backgrounds - some even homeless.  She and her teammates took swift action. Within 48 hours, they helped raise enough funds to cover the team’s travel expenses for the next round, entrance fees so their families could attend the game and funding for a school-wide celebration. This effort created a bond between the teams and demonstrated the power of sports to uplift communities.

Honors: Inducted into Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and Spanish National Honor Society.
